Need to show results of Pawtucket browse or search without thumbnail images

edited February 2017 in Pawtucket

I have a providence installation (1.6.2) running with Pawtucket into which I've imported around 1000 objects with related storage locations, entities and collections. All of that seems to be working fine.

Currently all the imported records are textual without any related media/image but when I do a browse or search in Pawtucket the results are shown with a small (empty) thumbnail image. I will need to use an image sometime in the future but for the moment I have no need of it so if the thumbnail wasn't shown I could show more results on the page.

Is there a way of showing the results without this thumbnail image? Is there a Pawtucket theme file I need to edit to modify this functionality?

  • Hi Andy,

You could configure your browse results (in browse.conf) to use the "list" view rather than thumbnail view, then comment out the code that outputs the placeholder image.

For search, you can copy /Search/ca_entities_search_subview_html.php, rename and edit it to work with the objects table.  Then edit search.conf to use it to output your objects results.
  • Thanks for that Sophie, I'll give that a go.
