Changed Mysql port - now cannot connect

We change the mysql port form 3307 back to 3306 and now the pawtucket won't connect but the admin does no problem.
Re-did the setup.php and change the IP to host name, removed the port number all together - no luck.  I can connect just fine using the mysql client on the server using the same connection criteria.    Is there any error message we can turn on to see what the problem is ?

Any ideas ?

  • Ok it all of sudden starting working  - with no changes.  Is there some type on internal database connection cache ?
