How to change ffmpeg settings?

(FYI--I'm working with an instance of CA that was set up by my predecessor in my job--hence me not knowing how things were set up initially.)

Apparently we have our media import for AV setup so that ffmpeg adds a watermark while importing the video. I need to change these settings (i.e., change the ffmpeg command being run), but I can't figure out where in the CA files this info is stored. Any clues on where I can look to find exactly what ffmpeg commands are being run--and edit them?

Thanks

  • Hi,

It's actually kind of buried, so no wonder you can't find it (sorry). It's set in app/conf/media_processing.conf in the MEDIA_TRANSFORMATION_RULES section. Look for "rule_video_to_h264_hi" for an example.
  • Thanks! I finally found it, and figured out that we have a media_processing.conf in the app/conf/local folder to override the default settings.
