Custom attribute with File type

Hello Dear community,

We have the task to expand the our objects with new attribute. In this attribute we will store the scanned copy of the document.

We have added the custom attribute with type File into the object.

But we can not find where we should enter a value for this attribute? We can only see the empty field in the summary section.

Please, help us with this question ...

  • Make sure that your new Object type is included in "Type Restrictions" for whichever screens are relevant within the Object editor. Go to Manage -> Administration -> User Interfaces. You should have either the "Standard Object Editor" or a custom UI for objects. Once you are in the right editor, go to each unique screen, and make sure your new object type - "File" - is selected.
