UI editor failing

edited August 2013 in Troubleshooting
I was making some changes to one of my Object editor screens in the UI editor, when suddenly all of my screens simply disappeared – gone. This would have been bad enough, but I can not re-create the screens either… when I create more than one screen, the first screen gets deleted.

I have no idea what could have caused this… I was not making any major changes to the system, other than making some multi-part ID numbers. I now have absolutely no object cataloging interface, and am unable to recreate it due to this bug.

The system is 1.4 - from github about a month ago.

  • Update - as I temporary work-around I found that I can add a whole bunch of screens at once, and THEN save. But the bottom line is that adding a new screen and saving erases all previously existing screens.

Guess I'll just have to re-create the ones I lost all in one fell swoop.
  • Argh. That's not good.
There's a fix for this in GitHub. The relevant JIRA ticket is PROV-520 (

    Apologies for any hassle caused.
