Image thumbnails broken

Hi Seth,

all image file thumbnails appear as broken link white box.
When I click it, I can view the image.

(website url: collective.thenewgallery.org)

When I access the database from the back end using my login, I can see all of the thumbnails correctly.

Do you have any leads into the problem here?

Thanks in advance!

  • Whoa, this is OpenCollectionAccess! Those were the days.

Did you move the application to a new server by any chance? You should symlink the CollectiveAccess (or I guess it was called OpenCollection at the time) media directory to your OCA media directory and also make sure the "app_name" settings in both global.conf files - for OC and OCA - are the same.
  • Hi! I'm having the same problem as @tng with the new version of Collective Access (1.7.8). So, I can find "app_name" in Pawtucket but I'm not finding this expression in Providence.

    Thanks.

@bveiga, I am wondering if the devs changed the name of the variable to "ca_app_name" based on the setup.php-dist file

ETA: I would also double check that your symlinks are working correctly. Are you able to pull up the full sized versions of the images? If you are able to pull up the full sized versions, you might need to reprocess the media (https://docs.collectiveaccess.org/wiki/CaUtils)
