Question about how images are stored

I have Pawtucket and Providence running on two different server instances. Because of this separation, I'm working on routine database and media folder updates. However, I'm trying to get a sense of how the media folders operate. That's actually the most time consuming process in updating the databases for me. My question is, where are the newest images stored? That way I know which folders to copy specifically instead of copying the entire media folder.

  • There's no sure way to tell where the latest images are stored. At least not a simple one. You could use a tool like rsync that only copies/syncs changes?
  • Thanks for the suggestion. I'm working on instituting DeltaCopy.
