Importing to List (ca_list_items)

I imported 38 records to a list, and all records were duplicated. The importer I used was based on this example: http://collectiveaccess.org/support/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/294786/subject-heading-import-error.

Do I need separate rows for singular and plural fields in my importer (or every time I import to a list)? How can I create just one list item per term?

Thank you for your help!

  • You only ran the importer once?

If so, please upload the mapping and data as files rather than screenshots.
  • Sorry, I tried again and it actually imported only once, so never mind! However, I have a related question: I am not sure what "Item Value" in an list item is for. When I manually enter a list item, I've been putting the same term as the list item identifier, but is that a good practice? Is Item Value mandatory? When doing bulk import, should I also fill in the Value field?

  • Value isn't mandatory. It's for if you decide to sort the list by rank.
