Exporting the creation/last modified dates and users

Is it possible to export the dates and associated userid or username for the creation and last modification for an object? I am having trouble finding where this information is stored in the database. It does not seem to be in ca_objects.

  • It's actually stored in ca_change_log. You should be able to export creation and modified dates using ca_objects.created and ca_objects.modified, although I haven't tried it. You can't export the associated user_id's though. If this is important to you create a JIRA for it an we'll see how we might support it in the near future.

  • How could I create a JIRA for this feature? I've tried creating a display using ca_objects.created and ca_objects.modified and they seem to be ok. Allowing the user_id's to be displayed/exported could be helpful when submitting accomplishment reports to supervisors, or for auditing processes (who to look for in case of incorrect data encoding).
  • Thanks Julia
  • Since this post is what came up when I googled, I wanna correct something for others who searches for the same thing.

To get last modification date on exports you goto use "ca_objects.lastModified"
