removing photos from directory aafter import

In the "Directory To Import", I uploaded a dozen images but failed to check the "delete media after import" box.  As a result, these 12 images still appear in my directory, though they are very hard to see.  When importing the next 12 photos, Collective Access indicated that 24 photos were being imported.  How am I able to remove the original 12 images from my directory?  Thank you for any assistance.
