Session lifetime update

I have an issue with the session lifetime and i don't know how to resolve it.
My session_lifetime parameter is set on 7200 and it's working. But even if my user is active during this time period he will still be disconected after 7200 seconds which is a problem.

Is there a way to reset this lifetime at 7200 when my user is doing something ?

  • Hi pierrew,

You can up the lifetime in app.conf but there's no way for the system to detect when you are using it.
  • Thank you for your answer, i set the life time for 24 hours and i will see on the long run if it's ok for the users.

Just in case, if i am not asking too much. Do you think i could "hack" the getSessionID method in the class Session ( app/lib/core/controller/Request/Session.php ) to use it to renew the session ?
The method seems to be called a lot evrytime a page load, but i don't have any idea of what i should do inside it.
