Supression of Warning messages

Providence 1.7.5 and Pawtucket 2.0 on a Linux server running PHP 7.0.29.

When accessing our Pawtucket viewer warning messages have started to appear on the screen (screen print attached). See also

The pages seem to function as they did before the messages started to appear.

How can I suppress these messages?

  • Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem? I am hesitant to make my site public if these warning messages keep popping up and I cannot figure out how to turn them off.

  • You can suppress them by setting "display_errors" to "off" in your php.ini file, if they are appearing.

  • I did that and the error messages are still appearing. They look like the ones from the original post but they are warning messages.

  • Make sure you've restarted the server to pick up the change. Or add this line in your setup.php:

    ini_set("display_errors", "Off");
