Can't get public set (gallery) descpription displayed in pawtucket2

edited June 2018 in Pawtucket
Hi all,

Again I have stumbled upon difficulties which I can't resolve myself alone, when configuring galleries. I can't get the gallery's description to show up, while the label of the set is displayed.

This is how the galleries look right now (where you can see there is no description underneath the gallery-title):

And this is our ./views/Gallery/set_info_html.php :

$va_set_item = $this->getVar("set_item");
<div class="row">
<div class='col-xs-12 col-sm-6'>
<?php print caNavLink($this->request, $va_set_item["representation_tag"], "", "", "Gallery", $this->getVar("set_id")); ?>
<div class="caption"><?php print $va_set_item["set_item_label"]; ?></div>
</div><!-- end col -->
<div class='col-xs-12 col-sm-6'>
print "<H4>".$this->getVar("label")."</H4>";
print "<p><small class='uppercase'>".$this->getVar("num_items")." ".(($this->getVar("num_items") == 1) ? _t("item") : _t("items"))."</small></p>";
print "<p>".$this->getVar("description")."</p>";
print "<br/>".caNavLink($this->request, "<span class='glyphicon glyphicon-th-large'></span>", "", "", "Gallery", $this->getVar("set_id"))."&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;".caNavLink($this->request, _t("view Gallery"), "", "", "Gallery", $this->getVar("set_id"));

</div><!-- end col -->
</div><!-- end col --></div><!-- end row -->

In other cases such as when displaying objects, the description metadata element can be accessed and displayed though.

  • Make sure the gallery_set_description_element_code variable in gallery.conf matches the metadata element code you are using for your set description.
  • Thank you again, Maria. There was a mismatch indeed.
