image does not download/display

hi,

i'm using providence 1.7.6. image upload is working ok, the images in the 'media' folder can be opened.
when I try to download or open from the object representation it does'nt work (without any warning message, downloaded images say 'file format not supported').
for testing I used a ~70kb .jpg.
Also tried GD by disabling Imagemagick and imagick, still not working.
I would be happy to get some help, I am new to collective access, maybe it's just a silly mistake.
thank you!

  • Hi,

Do you see any previews of the uploaded images at all? Can you send a screen shot?

    seth

  • the atelier imgs show the representation. neither clicking the images nor the download button works.
the 'unbekannt' shows another problem, some images are a lot paler in the representation as the original.
    thanks for your quick response!

  • Are there any errors in the browser console?

  • this comes after reloading the page and clicking the img in rep.
nothing when i click the download

  • Ok. Could you send me a login to the system? My email address is seth@collectiveaccess.org

  • Hi,

For whatever reason your system is generating invalid JPEG tiles for zooming. I’ve never seen this particular issue before, but I’d guess it’s related to your use of Imagick, which can be pretty buggy and unreliable. You might want to try installing GraphicsMagick and the gmagick PHP extension.

  • ok, thank you, i will try!

  • My administrator has now installed graphicsmagick and gmagick, still the same problems. as I wrote before I also had tried to use only GD.
Please contact me if you have any ideas.

    thank you
