problem after reinstalling the database

Hello,
After trying a data import that didn't work, I reinstalled the database I had backed up via phpMyAdmin.
The reinstallation of the database worked but I got this error message : character_set_client' can't be set to the value of 'null' (see attachment).
Since then, we have problems, we can no longer link entities with objects, and we can no longer do searches (out of 100 records, only 2 are displayed), yet they appear when we use the browsing function.
Do you think this problem is related to the error during reinstallation.
