Geo Names not working

I haven't been able to use Geo Names because of the following error:
"Connection to GeoNames with username "enter_your_username_here" was rejected with the message "user does not exist.". Check your configuration and make sure your account is enabled for web services."
Any suggestions on how to correct this?


  • You should create an account at, then set your Geonames username in app.conf using the "geonames_user" setting.
