Fields not showing up in search forms

When I create a search form, some fields I select won't produce search results even though I know there should be (for the field I am thinking of, the value is in a drop-down menu - I don't know if that may be the problem). Also, some search fields that perform fine separately when combined won't produce results even though I know there are records that contain both. Has anyone else had this problem?

Comments

  • I have also had this problem, but only when I am including search forms that have sub-elements and I try to search using these. Rebuilding search index doesn't help.

  • mkenzie - have you tried rebuilding the search index? edlemons reports that this didn't solve his issue but it'd be useful to know if it helps with yours. Also, have you modified search_index.conf?
