New Series with Old Identifiers

We recently had to change the identifier of a series to account for new accessions. For example, the records from the series with ID# PC02.01 were moved to ID# PC02.02. New records were added to Collective Access and associated with ID# PC02.01. I'm finding that when I perform a search, the records previously associated with ID# PC02.01 are still returned in the results. Do you have a suggestion for clearing this history? Thank you!
