Error when batch editing

When a user tries to BATCH edit a set they get the following at the top of the page:
Warning: array_intersect(): Argument #2 is not an array in \admin\app\lib\core\BaseModelWithAttributes.php on line 1074

When a admin user does the same thing i dont get this warning.

Any ide why this is hapening?

I have Source level control set to one (enabled) in the system if that makes any difference
