Fatal Error when Installing

After much troubleshooting, I'm finally at the stage of the Collective Access installation, but getting the below error message:

Fatal error: Uncaught DatabaseException: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'rank int unsigned not null default 0, ' at line 11 in /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/app/lib/Db/mysqli.php:316 Stack trace: #0 /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/app/lib/Db/DbStatement.php(151): Db_mysqli->execute(Object(DbStatement), Object(DbStatement), '\n\n\n/==========...', Array, NULL) #1 /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/app/lib/Db.php(261): DbStatement->executeWithParamsAsArray(Array) #2 /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/install/inc/Installer.php(479): Db->query('\n\n\n/==========...') #3 /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/install/inc/page2.php(69): Installer->loadSchema('caGetTableToBeL...') #4 /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/install/index.php(151): require_once('/Users/housefou...') #5 {main} thrown in /Users/housefoundation/Sites/providence/app/lib/Db/mysqli.php on line 316

Any suggestions? I'm not sure where to find the correct syntax to clear these errors.

Comments

  • Nevermind - this was related to us having the wrong version of MYSQL downloaded. I downloaded an earlier version and that fixed the issues!

  • Unfortunately I'm still stuck! I'm getting this error message:
It looks like the CA_URL_ROOT variable in your setup.php is not set correctly. Please try to set it to "/~housefoundation/providence". We came up with this suggestion because you accessed this script via "/~housefoundation/providence/index.php". Note that paths are case sensitive.

but there is no CA_URL_ROOT in my setup.php, which was coped as instructed from the setup.pho-dist, which also (via github) doesn't have that line.

Any suggestions for where I can make this edit?

  • Nevermind! I solved : )
