Repeating containers sort

Hallo everybody.
I have a repeating container, ca_objects.insurance, with 2 subfields.
I need to show the repeating values in a **view **in a formatted way, so I set the container's display template into
^ca_objects.insurance.insurance_year - ^ca_objects.insurance.insurance_amount

and it works fine.

Now, I need to show such repeating values sorted by ca_objects.insurance.insurance_year.
I tried to nest the above table in a unit relativeTo="ca_objects.insurance" sort="ca_objects.insurance.insurance_year" structure, but it does not work.

Any suggestion?

Thank you

  • In order to get the basic question out of the way, have you doubled checked in the metadata editor that the insurance year is checked as "Can be used for sorting?"

Assuming that you have already done that step, I recall having problems importing information into nested containers and the developers mentioned that I did not need the container as part of the string, so, try "sort="ca_objects.insurance_year" instead of "ca_objects.insurance.insurance_year."
