Calendar date-picker widget: Select year?

When the "useDatePicker" option is enabled, the calendar widget seems to allow navigating by months only (click arrows back/forth).
This seems a bit impractical when dealing with historical objects.

Is there any way to quickly navigate to a certain year?
(e.g. enter a year in the textfield, then the date-picker starts at that year?)

Thank you very much in advance!

It's the standard jQueryUI date picker. What you see is what you get. If you're entering dates across many years consider simply typing them in. It's not difficult.

  • Okay.
That's actually why I've disabled the date-picker in previous installations so the operators would have to type.
