Geolocation: Set default zoom level?

Using the default settings of the default geolocation widget in providence git-branch develop (1.7.9), the geolocation widget starts somewhere with a just-blue (=water) area - in the "center" of the map (south-west of africa).
Is it possible to configure any default zoom-level or starting-location for the geolocation widget?
