Log verbosity

Hello,

I'm using Providence (and Pawtucket) v.1.7.8 on a Linux server and DublinCore v14.
I'm having issues uploading PDF files (even small files with 250kb).
On the Providence log (app/log/log_.txt) I can only see the message: ERROR --> DatabaseException: MySQL server has gone away.
Since I can upload other file types (.xml, .txt, .jpg, ...) I suspect that the problem is related to the PDF plugin.
Is there a way to increase the verbosity of the logs so that I can get more information on what might be happening?

Thanks in advance,

José

  • That error is generated at the database driver level and implies that MySQL disconnected/crashed during a query. We could add a stacktrace there, but I'm not sure what else would be possible.

For future reference, for Providence 1.7.8, I was able to get a reasonable stacktrace of the issue by setting CA_STACKTRACE_ON_EXCEPTION to true in file setup.php
