Enquiry about extracting embedded metadata in new release version 1.7.9

Hi,

I have posted an enquiry about extracting embedded metadata when importing media in CA before, and found that there is a revamp last year, the code for this is all in the develop branch, I would like to know if the code mentioned can be found in new release version 1.7.9.
