Hi there - I have succesfully batch imported WAV files in the past, but suddenly CA is detecting them as binary, and thus not transcoding or serving for access as required.
Maybe your ffmpeg install is broken? ffmpeg is used to convert WAV files.
I'm able to import video just fine…
The I'd look at this batch of files and figure out what the difference is.
Considering that they are from the same batch of files from the same digitization vendor as files that have imported just fine previously, my guess is nothing is different about them, but sure I can look into that...
If it worked before, something changed. You'll need to figure out what it was.
I have scrutinized both sets of files, and they are identical WAV files, including extension, characteristics, even metadata. Mediainfo and Siegfried both say they are identical. The only thing that has changed is the upgrade of our CA system…
We use getID3 to identify WAV files. The update uses a newer version of getID3 than previous versions. That may be the cause.
Is this still the same install as the one I looked at before?
The new getID3() version returns a different mimetype for WAV than it used to. We'll make a fix for that soon in 1.7.x. There's already a fix for it in develop.
I've installed this patch on your server.
