Location in Hierarchy sorting

How the backend user could change the sorting (idno_sort) for a leaf, changing not the parent of the leaf but the position of the leaf itself, for example

from PARENT ->leaf 1, leaf 2 to PARENT -> leaf 2, leaf 1?

It's possible via user interface?

  • Hierarchy sort settings are configured per table in app.conf.

  • Hello Julia, we found it, but what we mean is:

    if a backend user has leaf 1, leaf 2 and leaf 3, and he want rearrange them as leaf 2, leaf 1 and leaf 3 (not asc or desc, but a free sorting) how could he do this via UX?

    It is possible?
    In the **Location in Hierarchy ** a user can change the parent but not the order of the leafs.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Yes, in the app.conf setting you can configure the hierarchy browser sort to .rank for user-defined sort (drag and drop).

  • Where the user can drag and drop?

  • If "rank" is set for the sort the user can drag and drop within the hierarchy browser in the user interface.
